Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of production plans in accordance with safety, quality, cost, and continuous improvement objectives.

About the Role: The primary objective of this position is to ensure that production teams have the necessary skills, knowledge, materials, and resources required to execute the production plan efficiently and safely. You will also be responsible for quality assurance and control activities, obtaining new or updated specifications, and matrix managing a function of Quality based staff across the site and product lines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate quality assurance and quality control activities are undertaken to guarantee all products meet specifications.
  • Obtain new or updated specifications as required and incorporate changes into Work Instructions, associated procedures, and databases.
  • Answer any questions from production staff requiring clarification from product drawings or specifications.
  • Conduct investigation and analysis of non-conforming products, implement follow-up actions, and resolve issues.
  • Ensure production teams possess the required skill base to operate efficiently and safely in line with the organization's quality management system policies and procedures.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should have experience in leadership and team management, in-depth knowledge of quality system procedures, and understanding of product specifications and drawings. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, Australian and International quality standards, and MRP/ERP systems is also essential.
