Job Description\

The Commercial Acceleration Strategy team functions as an internal management consulting unit to resolve commercially focused challenges at Virgin Australia. This encompasses a variety of commercial topics, focusing on future revenue growth opportunities.

This role is a senior leadership position with 2-3 direct reports and is accountable for training and mentoring other members of the broader team. It reports into the Head of Commercial Acceleration Strategy, who reports into the Chief Commercial Officer.



Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic framing of complex business challenges, then solving these problems with rich and robust data.
  • Leading Analysts/Senior Analysts in the team, actively contributing to best practice sharing.
  • Being a visible point of contact for senior leaders, providing concise answers to ad-hoc commercial questions.
  • Collaborating closely with other divisions, including Pricing, Digital, B2B sales, Marketing, Ancillary Products etc.


Eligibility Criteria
You'll be great in this role if you have 6-10+ years experience in Management Consulting, Internal Strategy or Commercial Strategy teams, a Bachelor qualification in an analytical field, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and solid leadership experience.
