Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Environmental Management team as a Natural Resource Management Specialist.

Your New Role
  • Undertake field inspections on public and private lands to identify and manage priority weeds, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with land managers to develop and implement effective weed control strategies, providing specialist technical expertise where required.
  • Enhance community awareness and knowledge of weed-related issues through the development and dissemination of educational materials and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of local natural resources, identifying opportunities for conservation and preservation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Relevant qualifications in Horticulture, Conservation or a related field (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in weed identification and control, including the operation and maintenance of powered spraying equipment.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in electronic mapping systems.
  • Class C Driver's Licence (LR Licence or higher is desirable).
  • AQF Level 3 Chemical Handling Accreditation or willingness to obtain.
  • SafeWork NSW Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP) or willingness to obtain.
