The Supporting Recovery Program is designed to collaborate with participants to address key areas that support individuals with mental health issues, enabling them to actively participate in their communities.
This support often leads to improvements in quality of life and most importantly, facilitates recovery from mental illness.
- Collaborating with participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery
- Assisting in the development of self-management skills
The Supporting Recovery Specialist will provide intensive support to individuals with a mental illness through the Supporting Recovery Program utilizing a Community Recovery Model.
Key Responsibilities:- To work collaboratively with participants to understand their needs and goals
- To assist participants in developing strategies to maintain their physical and mental well-being
- To connect participants with community resources and services to enhance their recovery journey
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as psychology, social work, or counseling
- Experience working with individuals with mental health issues, preferably in a community-based setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A dynamic and supportive work environment
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- A chance to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with mental health issues
