Overview of the Role:


Aveo is a leading provider of retirement living communities in Australia, with a commitment to delivering exceptional services to our residents. As a Food Service Professional - Restaurant Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meal services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.


About the Job:


This is a full-time position working Monday 9:30am-5:30pm, Tuesday 10:30am-8:30pm, Wednesday 2:00pm-8:30pm, Thursday 10:30am-8:30pm, and Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm. These hours are subject to change as we work through the operational requirements when we open our Clubhouse restaurant.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure quality meal services to residents and any visitors to the restaurant;
  • Prepare, cook, present, and deliver meals according to recipes with high attention to detail;
  • Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards;
  • Manage stock - assist with ordering, stock rotation, stocktake etc.;
  • Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment;
  • Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:



  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required);
  • A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and great team work;
  • Experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g experience in food preparation or Chef roles);
  • Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you);
  • Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required).
