Exciting Opportunity in Retirement Living

We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team at The Domain Country Club, a vibrant retirement living community located on the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, delivering exceptional dining experiences, and providing guidance to our hospitality staff. With a passion for food and customer satisfaction, you will work closely with residents, our food and beverage team, and external partners to create unforgettable experiences.

This is a full-time opportunity working 9:30am-6pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for career growth and development within our organization.

About the Role:
  • Lead kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with our food and beverage team to deliver seamless service and exceed resident expectations
  • Manage stock levels, inventory, and ordering processes
  • Supervise and train staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
About You:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a casual dining setting
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required) and qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Current Police Check clearance and minimum two COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
