Key Responsibilities:- Assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries and sports concussions
- Deliver on-site care services to patients, encompassing exercise instruction, splinting/bracing, and gait modification training
- Collaborate with physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
- Support healthcare staff by assisting with medical documentation and administrative tasks
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field
- Active licensure issued by the relevant state or national certification board (e.g., Ohio OTPTAT Training Board)
- Certification from the Board of Certification, Inc. for athletic trainers
- Maintenance of AT licensure in good standing throughout one's career
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
Additional Skills and Qualifications Include:
- Effective communication skills enabling collaboration with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records
- Able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
