Disability Support Student Placement Opportunity

As a student placement in our disability support services, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional workplace, applying the theory and skills gained while studying. At Yooralla, we are committed to supporting practice placements for the development of an experienced and qualified disability sector workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance with all aspects of daily living, including meals, personal care, hoisting, and everyday household tasks.
- Support individuals with disabilities in a supervised learning environment, promoting meaningful engagement within the home and community environments.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues and individuals with disabilities.
- Contribute to a positive and professional team environment, upholding the values of Yooralla.
- Current Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals with disabilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record management.
- Initiative and self-motivation, with a positive and professional approach.
- Interest in a long-term career in the disability sector.
