About the Role

At Yooralla, we offer student placements that provide the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and skills in a professional workplace. Our commitment to supporting practice placements is driven by our goal of developing an experienced and qualified disability sector workforce.

Within a supervised learning environment, you will gain experience in providing assistance with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, hoisting, and household tasks. You will also engage with customers in their homes and communities, promoting meaningful participation and inclusion.

About You

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about supporting customers to manage their own lifestyles and live the life they choose. You will be completing a Certificate IV in Disability through a recognized RTO or university and be interested in ongoing employment opportunities following the successful completion of your placement.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must attach the following mandatory requirements with your application:

  • Completed online application
  • Placement agreement signed by relevant parties
  • NDIS worker screening check
  • Current Certificate for First Aid (HLTAID003) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001)
  • Evidence of ability to work in Australia following placement (Australian Passport/Australian Birth Certificate/Australian Citizenship Certificate or International Passport & Visa)
  • Copy of Working with Children Check (WWCC) (if relevant)
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • If you have lived or worked overseas in the last ten years for a period of 12 months or more, we require a certified copy of your International Police Check, or evidence of applying for an international police check. The Police Check must cover the entire period you were overseas.
