Child Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Health Nurse to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress Aboriginal Corporation in Alice Springs, NT.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based child health services to children aged 0-5 years and their families. This will include child health assessments, immunisations, and developmental screening to ensure our children have the best start in life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality child health services to children and families in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Conduct child health assessments, immunisations, and developmental screening to identify and address any health concerns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and community members to promote healthy lifestyles and well-being.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practice in child health.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum of five years' clinical experience in child health or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of the NT vaccination schedule and immunisation practices.
- Working knowledge of child development and Aboriginal child health principles.
