Child Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Health Nurse to join our team in Alice Springs, NT. As a Child Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based child health services to children aged 0-5 years and their families.
About the RoleThe Child Health Nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to provide integrated, holistic, and coordinated services. This will include child health assessments, immunizations, and developmental screening to ensure our children receive the best possible start in life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide child health assessments and immunizations to children aged 0-5 years
- Conduct developmental screening and provide guidance to parents and caregivers
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated services
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Current AHPRA registration with a minimum of five years clinical practice
- Expert knowledge of the NT vaccination schedule and immunization practices
- Working knowledge of child development and current practices, theories, and values
- Knowledge of child development and how it relates to Aboriginal children in Central Australia
