About the Role

Moree Christian School seeks a dedicated Secondary teacher to join its committed staff team. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach Stage 6 subjects and have a passion for teaching with excellence.

The position can be Full-Time or Part-Time depending on the applicant's preferences. We are seeking a teacher with one of the following subject areas:

  • Humanities
  • Mathematics
  • PDHPE
  • Technology

Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply, being assured they will be supported as they seek accreditation at a Proficient Level.

We aim to nurture our students with a biblical worldview, equipping them to be apprentices of Jesus. Our teachers are committed Christians who are active members of local Christian churches and desire their teaching to be grounded in a Christian worldview as they authentically live out their faith in a rural community.

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be a committed Christian and an active member of a Christian Church, with a strong passion for Christian community.
  • Be a team-player and work collegially and effectively with colleagues.
  • Demonstrate high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate fully in supporting the Christian Ethos of Moree Christian School, with a willingness to contribute to its academic, pastoral and co-curricular life.
  • Have a strong commitment to ongoing professional learning and improvement.
  • Hold a current Working with Children's Check.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a qualified teacher with knowledge and understanding of NESA syllabus documents.
  • Be an effective practitioner, demonstrating the ability to implement teaching programs and cater for student differences.
  • Demonstrate competence in the assessment of student learning against the NESA K-10 A-E Performance Standards.
  • Utilise proactive and reactive management techniques to establish a safe and supportive learning environment.
