Quality Assurance Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of quality management systems, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct rigorous quality control checks and testing across production to maintain compliance and ensure consumer safety.
    • Lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, supplier standards, and process optimization.
    • Develop and maintain product specifications, recipes, and nutritional panels, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Train and mentor production teams to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
    • Lead audits, CAPA, and regulatory compliance initiatives, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Essential Requirements:
    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a hybrid quality control and technical lead role, with expertise in quality management systems, including HACCP, GMP, BRC/SQF, and ISO 22000.
    • Hands-on quality control and laboratory experience within food manufacturing, with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
    • Analytical problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Experience in recipe/specification management and data-driven quality reporting, with a proven track record of achieving results.
    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field; certifications in quality management and food safety highly desirable.

A good understanding of the dynamics of a family-run business is also highly valued.
