Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Launceston. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of mining and construction equipment, providing quality diagnostic and general maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, maintain and repair equipment to customer specifications.
  • Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure.
  • Prepare and test pre-delivery inspections of new equipment.
  • Ensure all work carried out is performed in a safe manner.
  • Complete and submit relevant paperwork and reports.
Requirements
  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or Commercial Vehicle trades.
  • Previous experience with assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc). Highly regarded.
  • A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles.
  • Good communication skills and dedication to providing quality work for an OEM.
