Join a global leader in the construction & mining industryAccess to OEM training, benefits, and opportunities to build on existing skillsThe role has the earning capacity of $130k inclusive of overtime + bonuses paid twice yearlyAbout UsHitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experiencedHeavy Diesel Mechanicto join our Service team as a Field Service Fitter based out of our Launceston branch.Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing diagnostics, repair and maintenance services to our customer's equipment in the field.Key responsibilities include:Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenanceBuilding and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer baseCompletion and submission of all relevant paperworkConducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and proceduresTo be successful in the role, you will possess:Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
OEM or earthmoving equipment experience highly regardedCurrent driver's licenseAbility to work autonomously and proactively solve technical issuesExcellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquetteAn uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and proceduresHitachi Benefits - What's in it for you?
