Job Title: Field Service Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Fitter to join our team in Launceston Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining and repairing a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment
  • Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure
  • Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
Requirements:
  • Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered
  • Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - highly regarded
  • A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
