Process Specialist Opportunity

At our facility in TX, we are actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars. The Process Operator Specialist will play a critical role in the success of this endeavor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment deviations, taking corrective actions to ensure process continuity
  • Maintain and calibrate various process equipment, working closely with engineers and technicians to implement designs
  • Coordinate across disciplines to ensure required resources are available for seamless project execution
  • Create and maintain a hardware inventory system using knowledge of systems and existing documentation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology, along with 4+ years of experience working with automated processes. Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalency certificate combined with 6+ years of experience in control room operations, plant operations, mechanic/millwright support, or instrumentation/electrical operations is also acceptable.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiarity with process parameters and engineering units
  • Able to read and understand P&ID and schematic wiring diagrams
  • Experience with mechanical equipment and systems requiring isolation of malfunction
  • Awareness of lock out tag out, job hazard analysis, hot work permitting procedures

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work outside with hand tools, climb ladders to elevated platforms, and operate man-lifts
