Overview
Rehabilitation Consultant - Reg Psych/Rehab Counsellor at IPAR in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia.
IPAR is a national occupational rehabilitation provider supporting people living with illness, disability, or injury.
We offer workplace rehabilitation, counselling, injury prevention and employment support, with a team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors.
IPAR is part of the MedHealth network.
Responsibilities
Case management with a manageable caseload and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes.
Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees.
Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.
Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans' Affairs, and employer-funded programs.
Assist clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
Complete a variety of assessments (initial, workplace, vocational) to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment opportunities.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling.
General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for ASORC membership.
Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation preferred.
Excellent communication, empathy and time management skills.
Current NSW Driver's Licence with access to own car and comprehensive insurance.
