Job Title: Senior Real Estate Investment Manager

The Role of an Investment Leader:

As an Investment Leader, you will oversee the investment analysis and transaction management process. This involves leading a team of analysts and associates in investment analysis and transaction management.

  • Develop and negotiate terms for subordinated credit and complex credit investments.
  • Project manage and lead deal execution, including ensuring accuracy in transaction modelling preparation, preparing transaction review and investment committee papers and term sheets, presenting transaction proposals to the investment committee, documenting review and negotiation – ensuring it is in line with relevant approvals and investment best practices, and overseeing the drawdown process for investments.
  • Deliver and review investment business plans, including continuing review and understanding of performance.
  • Maintain external stakeholder relationships throughout the deal life cycle and ensure negotiated outcomes are consistent with relevant approvals.
  • Ensure delivery of all fund, investor and transaction reporting on time and to the requisite assessment standard.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience across relevant disciplines in real estate gained in banking, private equity, advisory or investment management.
  • A tertiary qualification with a preference for related fields such as finance, commerce, construction, real estate, or legal.
  • Understanding of construction risks, documentation and contract risks.
  • General understanding of principles of taxation impacting investment decisions.
  • Influence outcomes, motivate individuals and persuade critical internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote, encourage and motivate for a high-performing culture.
  • Highly developed written and quantitative skills, supplemented by excellent verbal presentation skills.
  • Maintain and extend internal and external networks.
  • Ongoing awareness and knowledge of critical real estate market transactions, investment environment and fundamental industry regulatory changes.
