Environmental Waste Management Specialist

Effective waste management is a critical component of our organization's strategy to drive environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
About the RoleThis position will be responsible for leading projects that deliver high-quality waste outcomes for the community through effective waste minimisation, recycling, and resource recovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve waste management practices and reduce environmental impact.
- Contribute to the procurement and management of waste contracts, provide input into development assessments, and support disaster response planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with significant experience in waste management and resource recovery or extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in waste management issues including compliance of licensed facilities.
- Able to solve complex problems and apply critical thinking.
- Experience working in diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to prepare written advice and reports.
