  • This position is part of the Operational Finance function, which provides support to the university with core system and transactional activities.

The Manager for the Finance Support Services team will be responsible for managing service deliverables, providing leadership, guidance and support to team members, and ensuring services are timely, consistent, efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 25-30 members and provide guidance on standardised processes to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement sustainable financial controls within the team and assist with other parts of Operational Finance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the Faculties and Divisions to deliver daily transactional processing.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to assess and develop process improvements and identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • A combination of relevant tertiary and professional accounting qualifications and experience.
  • Proven experience in a shared service environment with advanced financial acumen and expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, think strategically and prioritise effectively.
