Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with local community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to identify opportunities for people with disabilities to access the best housing and services, enabling them to live life to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  2. Identify opportunities for people with disabilities to access the best housing and services.
  3. Assist with transition planning with all stakeholders from initial enquiry through to move in.
  4. Engage with local community organizations, regional and state government, and other community-minded organizations to generate opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience in a similar role within a human services environment.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS price guide, completing schedule of support agreements and tenancy agreements.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills to build collaborative partnerships.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and demonstrate community engagement experience.
  • Well-developed stakeholder negotiation skills to deliver solutions that meet the needs of NDIS Participants.
  • Empathetic and positive approach to working with special people facing challenges.
  • Capacity to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to implement and comply with relevant regulation, policies, and procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS clearance check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation certificate.
  • Own vehicle and an unrestricted driving license.
  • NDIS Orientation Module.
