Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Loan Originator to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage origination process, you will be responsible for converting inbound leads into loans by promoting our competitive mortgage products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a strong presence in the market by effectively converting incoming leads
  • Analyze current rates and programs to provide accurate and timely information to borrowers
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with borrowers to ensure successful loan outcomes
  • Participate in all aspects of the origination process, including meeting with prospects, counseling borrowers, and taking mortgage applications by phone
  • Manage your pipeline to meet service standards and financial goals
  • Stay up-to-date on various borrowing programs and processes, as well as changes and new products
  • Evaluate credit requests and identify trends in the marketplace
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of sales experience or origination experience in a consumer direct or call center environment
  • Experience collecting and analyzing borrower income and negotiating skills
  • Proven ability to proactively solicit new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems
  • Experience converting leads and handling in-bound calls
  • Possession of NMLS License under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 (a plus)
  • State License under the SAFE Act (a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in standardized software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
