Converting Premium Leads into Loans

The role of an Inside Loan Originator is to effectively transform inbound premium leads into loans by promoting competitive mortgage products, services, and programs. This position involves consulting with customers to understand their current and future needs, thereby assisting them in achieving their financing goals.

  • Establish a presence for the company, including converting incoming leads.
  • Analyze current rates and programs to provide accurate and timely information to borrowers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with borrowers.
  • Participate in all steps related to the origination of a mortgage loan, including meeting with prospects, counseling borrowers, taking mortgage applications by phone.
  • Manage personal pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met.
  • Stay updated on various borrowing programs and processes, as well as changes and new products.
  • Leverage in-house technical systems and programs.
  • Evaluate credit requests and identify trends in a given marketplace.
  • Comply with federal and state compliance guidelines relevant to the position.
  • Be available to work varying hours and overtime if required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 1 year of sales experience or origination experience in a consumer direct or call center environment.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing borrower income and negotiating skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively solicit new business.
  • Familiarity with retail product philosophy, policy, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Previous experience converting leads and handling in-bound calls is preferred.
  • NMLS License under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
