Job Description

This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for all strata committee clients. It entails monitoring deadlines, tracking performance metrics, and participating in monthly governance meetings to ensure contractual service level agreements are met.

The Compliance Operations Officer will be the first point of contact for clients, suppliers, and building managers regarding all buildings, by-laws, and certificate queries and issues. They will also support and guide the team of Strata Managers with preparation, obtaining, and issuing of by-law compliance letters and certificates of currency.

Additionally, the role requires coordinating and managing offshore service provider teams, including weekly check-ins and formal monthly performance reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience operating within the Strata Management industry.
  • Certificate of Registration or Level 1 or 2 License (Strata Management).
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of strata management requirements as an agent for owners corporations.
  • Exposure to insurance requirements and 'Plant' item registrations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Strata Management Agency Agreements, inclusions, and exclusions.
  • Able to anticipate customer needs via ongoing dialogue and research with and then develop and implement processes to monitor customer satisfaction levels.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of diplomacy and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with StrataMaster, StrataConnect, and NSW Government's Strata Hub platforms.
  • Experience working with NSW Fair Trading on its compliance requirements.
