Business Solutions Consultant

The primary role of a Business Solutions Consultant is to collaborate with clients in achieving their business objectives by implementing and configuring software solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients through software configuration or providing high-quality support for clients' production solutions.
  • Collaborating with a larger team of consultants and client resources under the guidance of senior colleagues, taking ownership of tasks and interacting with clients where necessary.
  • Following established best practices defined by senior colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery and support.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of software capabilities and liaising with project colleagues to align client requirements with those capabilities.
  • Continuously developing personal knowledge and skills through proactive learning and approach to project work.
  • Adapting to the evolving company culture and contributing to internal communications as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of assigned projects, including tasks and timelines.
  • Taking responsibility for task completion to required standards and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Seeking feedback on performance and contributing ideas to the team.
  • Expanding personal knowledge and skill set through continuous learning and development.
  • Demonstrating a proficient understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry accounting and period-end processes.
  • Displaying working knowledge of software from an accounting perspective.
  • Awareness of delivery methodologies (agile, waterfall, or hybrid) and different project stages.
  • Foundational understanding of RDBMS concepts and ability to interrogate data sets using database SQL.
  • Broad knowledge of software features and capabilities.
  • Proficient practitioner of software applications used.

Availability and Work Shifts:

  • Working within clients' standard business hours (CET or EST/PST).
  • Possible standby cover during weekends and/or bank holidays.
