Your future role:

You will influence change and adherence for EHS management to provide a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors. You will work with teams across the project and business, focusing on continuous improvement and analytical thinking. Your proven EHS expertise will ensure a safe working environment, assist in monthly reporting and auditing, and maintain procedures.

We'll look to you for:

  • Supporting the project leadership team in creating a 'safety first' culture
  • Ensuring EHS risk assessments are undertaken and appropriate measures to control risks are defined
  • Maintaining EHS records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance
  • Organising and leading EHS audits and incident investigations
  • Preparation of statistical reporting for internal and external stakeholders

All about you:

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem-solving. You will also have:

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Strong working knowledge of local legal requirements, especially as it relates to Rail Safety
  • Initiative, drive, and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the project
  • Previous experience working within the rail/construction industry or similar safety-critical environment
  • Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules, and procedures
  • Ability to participate in an 8-day on, 6-off roster, including night shifts
