Clinical Pharmacy Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Manager to lead our clinical pharmacy services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical pharmacy services to inpatients at North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital.

Job Summary:

  • Manage the provision of a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service, ensuring alignment with practice frameworks established by relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate the provision of clinical pharmacy services to hospital patients, adhering to standards such as Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Implement service delivery frameworks, such as the Australian Government's Guiding Principles, to achieve continuity in medication management.
  • Monitor and analyze information on service effectiveness, adjusting priorities and implementing initiatives to improve service efficiency, patient care, and medication safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team members, providing leadership and performance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for clinical pharmacy activities, ensuring accreditation for related processes.
  • Collect and report performance indicators, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and hospital-wide incident reporting.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in clinical pharmacy services, aligning with contemporary service models.
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical pharmacy services, with knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines.
