Clinical Pharmacy Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and innovative manager to oversee the delivery of a safe, high-quality clinical pharmacy service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Overview

The North West Clinical Pharmacy team is responsible for delivering patient-centred care across inpatient and outpatient settings. As a key member of this team, you will be instrumental in driving excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the provision of a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to patients at the North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve medication management and ensure alignment with relevant standards such as the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Standards of Practice for Clinical Pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement service delivery frameworks that achieve continuity in medication management.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to measure and analyse information on the effectiveness of service provisions and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in leading clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting and a strong understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines applicable to the practice of pharmacy in a public hospital.
  • Proven track record of implementing practices and projects directed towards good medication management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
