Job Title: Risk and Assurance Advisor

Camden Council is seeking a highly skilled Risk and Assurance Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise risk management and providing assurance to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, implementation, and organizational support for integrated risk management, control assurance, and business continuity.
  • Assess complex information and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide advice, support, and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations, and conduct training sessions and awareness programs on risk management and control assurance topics.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks with flexibility and adherence to deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience in risk management, control assurance, internal audit, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in supporting the development, implementation, and organizational support for integrated risk management, control assurance, and business continuity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of internal control design, implementation, and assessment.
  • Familiarity with internal and external audit processes, and ability to support and implement audit recommendations.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant risk management standards, guidelines, and legislative requirements.
Desirable:
  • Experience in Local Government or public sector.
  • Experience in motor, Public Liability and property claims management.
  • Experience with risk management and control assurance software tools.
