Property Officer Role

Maintain properties and assets for vulnerable children & youth.

About the Position:
  • We are seeking a dedicated Property Officer to oversee property maintenance and asset management.
  • This full-time role is crucial for maintaining all assigned properties and assets to a high standard in a safe, efficient, and routine manner.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Property Maintenance: Oversee repairs and maintenance for all assigned properties, including coordinating schedules and reviewing service agreements with contractors.
  2. Compliance: Ensure all relevant documentation is completed for Residential Tenancy Authority and other legislative guidelines, in collaboration with the Leasing Officer.
  3. Asset Management: Source, order, and arrange the purchase, repair, or replacement of assets. Track asset movements and maintain accurate asset registers.
  4. New Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities, investigate industry trends, and partner with suppliers, contractors, and internal units for growth opportunities.
  5. Documentation & Records: Ensure appropriate records are kept and maintained to a high standard, aligning with reporting requirements and policies.
About You:
  • A combination of relevant experience, education, and training in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years (desirable).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professional assertiveness and excellent customer service.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, organisational, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Suitability Blue Card, Licensed Care Services approval (LCS2), NDIS Worker Screening, Current unencumbered Class C Driver's Licence.
