Job Title: Solicitor (Federal Workers' Compensation Specialist)

About the Role:
HBA Legal is seeking a skilled Solicitor to join our Federal Workers' Compensation team. As a Solicitor in this role, you will provide advice and assistance in dealing with our client's legal matters, representing HBA and our clients in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and focusing primarily on workers' compensation claims.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice and manage files in a clear and logical manner within required timeframes
Conduct investigations, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing documents
Assist with the drafting of Tribunal documents
Speak to witnesses and brief experts
Attend Conciliation Conferences and informal settlement conferences as required
Prepare and engross reports for clients and claims managers

Requirements:
Bachelor of Law or degree equivalent
Current Practicing Certificate
Experience with either state or federal workers compensation on plaintiff or defendant side
Ability to balance competing priorities and coordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines
Resilience and tenacity in the face of obstacles and problems
Motivation to achieve financial targets
