About the Opportunity

We seek a Research Fellow to join our team at the Environmental Epidemiology unit within the School of Public Health.

The team conducts research into the health risks of environmental hazards, applying epidemiological study designs and biostatistical modelling approaches to a broad range of health and environmental data.

The successful candidate will contribute to the overall intellectual life of the Environmental Health team, the School of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine and Health.

  • Expertise in environmental epidemiology research questions and related study designs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with administrative health data including linked health data, particularly NSW Health data assets, is essential.
  • Experience building high spatial and temporal resolution environmental exposure models is also beneficial.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting research, supervising students and contributing to service activities, including outreach.

They will work collaboratively to develop and maintain effective, productive and beneficial workplace relationships with all academic and professional staff, students and honorary staff, as well as with government, industry and community stakeholders.
