About this Role

Seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The role will involve preparing accurate cost estimates and take-offs for building works, with a focus on wall and ceiling linings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret building plans, specifications to prepare detailed estimates for various building elements, with particular emphasis on wall and ceiling systems.
  • Estimate costs of materials, labour and subcontracted works across different construction methods, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to confirm pricing, technical details, and lead times.
  • Prepare and present estimates, budgets and tender submissions to support project decision-making.
  • Estimate costs of on-site changes, taking into account the stage of the build.
  • Monitor project budgets, track recurring over-runs and adjust base model estimates.
  • Maintain and update cost databases and contribute to the development of estimating systems and procedures.

Knowledge of residential building and construction process including understanding Acoustic & Engineering reports.

Committed to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends, and changes to standards.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in Building and Construction or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a similar estimating / scheduling residential construction role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel), Simpro, Bluebeam, D365 (desirable but not essential).
