Key Legal Advisor

This role is a vital part of our legal team, providing high-quality advice and guidance across various key areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts is essential for this position.
- The successful candidate will support the global legal team in delivering training and guidance to staff on legal and compliance matters.
- Providing expert legal advice and reporting to leadership teams, finance, marketing, and other staff as required is crucial.
- Advising on regulatory compliance, including the Corporations Act, Fair Work Act, and Privacy Act is a key responsibility.
- Overseeing domestic and international insurance, including annual renewals and claims management, requires strong organizational skills.
- Researching foreign tax, visa, and other international compliance matters demands attention to detail.
- Providing guidance on Privacy/Data Protection (APP and GDPR) and intellectual property matters is necessary.
- Managing commercial disputes and litigation matters requires excellent communication skills.
- Working with external counsel and experts where required demonstrates adaptability.
- Supervising and managing a junior in-house lawyer showcases leadership abilities.
- A minimum of 4 years of legal experience (in-house or private practice).
- A current unsupervised practicing certificate in Australia with the authority to supervise legal practice by others.
