About the Role

The University of Melbourne is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Leader to join our team in the Faculty of Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in overseeing content delivery, coordinating learning activities, and providing support to a cohort of Mental Health and Wellbeing Leaders (MHWLs) and their affiliated schools within the Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative (MHiPS).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting MHWLs by assisting them to develop learning goals and then monitoring and tracking progress against these goals.
  • Delivering the MHiPS programs' core training modules in the form of workshops, learning community sessions, and drop-in sessions. Responding to any training-related queries.
  • Comprehensive reporting to determine risks to project delivery and quality, encompassing both quantitative summaries and qualitative analysis of emerging trends and patterns.
  • Contributing to internal projects that focus on continuous improvement of the MHiPS offering.
About You

We are looking for an individual with valuable experience in learning support roles and a deep understanding of mental health and wellbeing strategies tailored for schools. You will have demonstrated experience in and an understanding of the process of identifying and supporting schools to implement evidence-based resources and strategies. Your ability to effectively convey information and guide interactions, coupled with your exceptional ability to nurture strong relationships, empowers you to engage and lead captivating learning sessions.

You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in an appropriate field (psychology, social work, other Allied Health, education, or wellbeing).
  • Knowledge and experience of evidence-based strategies to support the mental wellbeing of primary school students, ideally in a classroom context.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to present and facilitate learning regularly (in person and on Zoom).
  • Strong ability to develop and sustain multiple relationships with individuals and with groups.
