National Clinical Governance Director

We are seeking an experienced and innovative National Clinical Governance Manager to join our team at Cura Day Hospitals Group.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a National Clinical Governance framework to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
- Lead and support service-wide developments, creating a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Ensure accreditation status for all Cura facilities and provide clinical advice, mentoring, and governance to the workforce and clinicians.
- Develop and review policies related to Clinical Governance, including risk management, patient experience, and clinical audit.
- Oversee the Hospital-wide Audit program and track closure of recommendations.
- Manage the clinical governance agenda, developing robust systems and processes to ensure patient safety and quality.
- Respond to patient safety concerns and support the development of business plans, strategic plans, and quality plans.
- Ensure effective systems for credentialing, defining scope of clinical practice, and clinical and safety education and training.
- Review and analyse clinical outcome data and quality performance measures, acting on opportunities for improvement.
- Extensive experience within the health industry, with leadership experience at executive level.
- Clinical background and knowledge of Performance Improvement principles and practices.
- Accreditation requirements, relevant legislation, Australian Standards, and certification processes.
- Understanding of customer-focused processes and quality management principles.
- Demonstrated understanding of Risk Management principles and processes.
- Ability to manage, lead, and coach personnel to achieve high standards of performance.
- Knowledge of NSQHS, ISO, and accreditation.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Software.
- Tertiary Qualification in Management, Business, or Health Science, or relevant industry experience.
