Senior Technical Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned technical advisor to lead project-specific services for our clients.

As a key team member, you will provide expert guidance and oversight to ensure projects meet or exceed client requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the certification process for rolling stock design, testing, and acceptance.
  • Providing technical expertise for DMU and EMU vehicle systems.
  • Supervising product introduction, T&C, and other deliverables as required by future projects.
  • Assisting in project control, execution, and management of tasks/projects.
  • Carrying out analytical and implementation tasks.
  • Liaising with the project team and communicating effectively with client staff.
  • Completing all project administrative tasks as required, including managing project reporting and financials.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in a similar or related role with demonstrated expertise in rolling stock within a consultancy environment. The candidate should also possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechatronic or a related Engineering discipline.
  • CPEng or equivalent registration is highly desired.
  • RPEV/RPEQ is highly desired but not mandatory.
  • A strong understanding of rolling stock standards and vehicle specifications.
  • Proven technical expertise in Rolling Stock testing and verification activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional written and planning skills.
  • Confident to work autonomously with limited guidance.
  • Analytical and technical mindset.
