Job Title: Site Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to take on the role of Site Operations Specialist. This position involves providing exceptional customer service and comprehensive Maintenance services to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maintenance activities within buildings are carried out safely, efficiently and to required standards. This includes maintaining excellent response to Asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensuring any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments. They will also possess prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance activities within buildings are carried out safely, efficiently and to required standards.
  • Maintain excellent response to Asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently.
  • Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks on electrical distribution systems, plant/equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling/heating systems as determined by the CMMS system's work orders.
  • Conduct building walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and other electrical equipment to monitor capacity.
  • Fault Investigation.
  • Prepare accurate and timely service/incident reports as required.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building's infrastructure and their layouts, functions and complexities.
  • Deliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to the team.
  • Be a point of contact for client unit managers for all escalations and requests.
  • Ensure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
  • Manage contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance, repairs and operations are to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in data center environments.
  • Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision.
  • Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools.
  • Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues.
  • Educational qualification and certifications relevant to the role.
  • Absorbent attitude and commitment to ongoing learning and development.
