Strategic Asset Leader

As a key player in our team, you will have the opportunity to empower Australia's defence and security capabilities as an Asset Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to precision asset management, operational support, and lifecycle sustainment of critical security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver asset management activities across acquisition projects and lifecycle refresh programs.
  • Develop and maintain Asset Management Plans, Lifecycle Models, and supporting documentation for current and future contracts.
  • Manage obsolescence responsibilities, including analysis, customer communication, and costed corrective action planning.
  • Conduct asset management and ILS analyses including Reliability, Maintainability & Availability (RMA) modelling, Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Maintenance task and spares analysis, and Asset condition assessment.
  • Provide input into contract scoping, project planning, system design, and implementation.
  • Liaise with OEMs and suppliers, reviewing technical publications and ILS documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 55001).

Requirements:

  • Experience in logistics engineering, obsolescence management, and lifecycle sustainment of critical security systems.
  • Strong background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and associated analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of system engineering, safety engineering, and configuration management.
  • Experience in security industry standards and technologies.
  • Familiarity with LSA and R&M analysis tools.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to liaise confidently with senior internal and external representatives.
