**The Organisation**
Bric is recognised as a leading provider of community housing in South East Queensland.
The organisation specialises in enabling their high and complex needs tenants to sustain tenancies in high density properties as part of a broader portfolio encompassing transitional to long term housing.
Bric Housing (Bric) manages and supports over 850 tenancies in more than 200 properties located across the north of Greater Brisbane and Moreton Bay areas, including boarding houses, units, townhouses, and free-standing homes leased from the Queensland Government and private landlords.
**This Role**
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Housing & Impact, the Asset Manager will provide efficient and effective coordination and advice regarding Bric's asset service activities. You will support the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and ensure tenants and staff are afforded safe and appropriate facilities.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Provide reporting services for asset condition assessment, data quality and asset management activity as required and ensuring that property data is captured, accurate, up to date, and completed across required departments
- Oversee effective procurement outcomes in line with project delivery and asset procurement requirements.
- Liaise with the Team Leader Asset Services to modify and optimize preventive cyclical maintenance schedules as appropriate.
- Ensure budgetary requirements for refurbishments / asset upgrades etc are successfully managed.
- Assist in raising awareness, promoting and the implementation of Bric Strategic Asset management Plan (SAMP), Asset Management policy within the organisation and with contractures
- Supporting and successfully negotiating with key internal & external stakeholders including Asset Services (AS) and Housing Services (HS) staff and support agencies, Department Housing or its equivalent, contractors, suppliers, real estates and owners.
**You will have**:
- At least two (2) years experience in a Community Housing or similar role
- Accomplished written and spoken communication, relationship, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated technical understanding of residential construction and building process and systems
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, building compliance and safety standards including fire systems
- Significant working knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and practices
- Practical awareness of, and experience with current Work Health and Safety requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with superior interpersonal skills and the ability to engage, coordinate, and supervise multiple contractors and service providers to achieve desired outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in project management and project delivery with a focus on achieving results on time and within budget
- Demonstrated analytical skills with proven attention to detail and ability to consider and present viable options from a commercial perspective
- Sensitivity to and understanding of issues affecting socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with disabilities and people from a non-English speaking background.
