Job Opportunity

Seeking a seasoned Category Advisor to support our IT Category Lead in providing strategic procurement advice and execution across WorkSafe's Corporate Spend portfolio.

The successful candidate will undertake procurement activities, maintain and improve supplier arrangements, and provide sound advice to internal stakeholders on all procurement and contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing RFT/RFQ market engagement activities and coordinating internal resources to ensure the highest standards of ethics and probity.
  2. Providing trustworthy advice to key internal clients on procurement and contractual matters.
  3. Assisting in the development of long-term strategies for relevant categories through detailed Procurement Strategy Plans.
  4. Managing and maintaining supplier and contract-related risks, policy, and governance requirements.
  5. Providing business stakeholders with a point of escalation for systemic contractual or commercial issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in procurement and sourcing in a tier 1 consulting, corporate, or government organization.
  • Sound experience in the IT environment, including hardware, network, and telecommunications services.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to engage with senior leaders and executives.
