About the Role

This is a key leadership position that involves leading credit origination efforts, essential for expanding the company's footprint across the East Coast of Australia.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire credit origination process, including sourcing loans, managing the loan application process, and conducting credit assessments for presentation to the Investment Review Committee.

Additionally, the role will include assisting the capital origination team in sourcing, engaging, and securing capital from investors to support PrivateInvest's lending operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and other key stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of both loan origination and capital raising activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Oversee the Loan Origination Process: Ensure thorough credit assessments and make informed decisions.
  • Perform Detailed Risk Analysis: Evaluate capitalisation rates to determine the value of income-generating properties based on their expected returns.
  • Present Credit Papers: Present credit papers to the Investment Review Committee for approvals.
  • Oversee Due Diligence: Oversee the due diligence process for new transactions, including risk assessment, and scenario analysis.
  • Foster Relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with brokers, borrowers, and key industry players.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Proven Experience: In a senior capital raising or credit management role.
  • Strong Financial Modelling: Advanced Excel proficiency and strong financial modelling skills.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: Of non-bank lending, commercial credit products, and property markets.
  • Strong Organisational: Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Familiarity with Financial Analysis Software: Industry best practices.
