About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality healthcare services to consumers who have experienced domestic and family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality consumer-centred, trauma-responsive nursing healthcare to consumers over 16 years of age, inclusive of all genders.
  • Deliver clinical health care, including detailed healthcare assessments that can be used in the criminal justice system and referral pathways in accordance with consumer-centred care.
  • Be accountable for your own practice standards and activities delegated to others, and provide guidance and development to less experienced staff.
Requirements
  • Be a Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate and at least 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Have competence in working with consumers experiencing family and domestic violence, community health, or sexual health.
  • Be able to provide specialised domestic and family violence assessment, triaging, and healthcare, including recording injuries that may be used in court.
  • Respond to the health needs of people affected by domestic and family violence in the health service and provide outreach nursing services in domestic and family violence accommodation.
