Theoretical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theoretical Physicist to join our team at the University of Adelaide.
About the RoleThis is a continuing position, full-time opportunity for a Lecturer Level B or Level C, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work alongside the other members of the physics discipline, contributing to and/or augmenting areas of existing strengths in theoretical particle and nuclear physics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research in theoretical physics, with a focus on areas such as particle physics, nuclear physics, nonperturbative QCD, particle astrophysics, and particle cosmology.
- Collaborate with experimentalists and other theorists to advance our understanding of fundamental physics.
- Supervise graduate students and contribute to the delivery of quality undergraduate education.
- Develop and maintain strong analytic and computational skills, including numerical and symbolic calculations.
- PhD in Theoretical Physics or equivalent higher degree.
- Commitment to excellence in relevant areas of theoretical physics.
- Demonstrated publication track record in leading academic journals.
- Strong interest in and commitment to quality undergraduate education.
- Experience in supervision of graduate students.
- Ability to conduct independent research and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Organisational and management skills.
