We are seeking an exceptional Theoretical Physicist to join our team as a Lecturer (B/C) at the University of Adelaide. This is a continuing position, offering a full-time opportunity to work alongside our esteemed physics discipline.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in theoretical particle and nuclear physics, with a focus on areas such as particle physics, nuclear physics, nonperturbative QCD, particle astrophysics, and particle cosmology.
- Collaborate closely with experimentalists and other theorists to advance our understanding of the universe.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate students, promoting quality education and research skills.
- Supervise graduate students, guiding them in their research endeavors.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals, securing funding for projects.
- Engage in academic publishing, presenting research findings in leading journals.
- Participate in departmental and faculty-wide initiatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- PhD in Theoretical Physics or equivalent higher degree, with expertise in areas relevant to our research strengths.
- Commitment to excellence in theoretical physics, with a strong publication track record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational and management skills, with experience in supervising graduate students.
- Advanced analytical and computational skills, with proficiency in numerical and symbolic calculations.
