About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Theoretical Physicist to join our team as a Lecturer (B/C) at the University of Adelaide. As a member of our physics discipline, you will contribute to our research and teaching programs, working alongside our esteemed faculty members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research in theoretical particle and nuclear physics, with a focus on areas such as particle physics, nuclear physics, nonperturbative QCD, particle astrophysics, and particle cosmology.
  • Teach and develop undergraduate courses in theoretical physics, ensuring high-quality education and student engagement.
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the development of research projects.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and other theorists to advance our understanding of fundamental physics.
  • Participate in departmental and faculty-wide initiatives, promoting excellence in research and education.
Requirements
  • PhD in Theoretical Physics or equivalent higher degree, with a strong background in relevant areas.
  • Commitment to excellence in research and teaching, with a demonstrated track record of publications in leading academic journals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Advanced analytical and computational skills, with experience in numerical and symbolic calculations.
