Clinical Coding Specialist

Join our team as a Coding Auditor/Educator and contribute to ensuring accurate coding and maximisation of Casemix/ABF revenue. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with advanced clinical coding experience, particularly in ICD-10-AM coding.
About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled professional to conduct regular cycles of random and targeted audits to identify education requirements and ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and participating in the design of coding/documentation audit tools.
- Establishing and monitoring benchmarks for coding accuracy and performance, including financial impacts.
- Ensuring the Clinical Coding Service meets all relevant accreditation standards.
- Consulting with coding staff to identify training needs and assisting in training and mentoring new staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require high-level time management and organisational skills, proven experience with basic computing, including Microsoft Office applications, and a recognised Diploma of Clinical Coding (HLT50321) or equivalent. Experience in auditing clinical coded data and ICD-10-AM coding is highly desirable.
