Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with First Nations communities, developing and facilitating culturally engaging activities in a safe and respectful environment.

You will collaborate with our team to identify community priorities and co-create opportunities that promote learning, confidence, and connection.

  • Organise events and activities that celebrate cultural expression and pride among First Nations communities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement community-led initiatives.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to support program delivery.
  • Evaluate impact and measure effectiveness to drive improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group activities using creative approaches such as art, storytelling, and sport.
  • Develop and deliver cultural programs that cater to diverse needs and interests.
  • Maintain effective relationships with community members and stakeholders.
  • Co-design pilot initiatives that benefit whole communities.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • PASSION for community engagement and social justice.
