Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Engineer to join our team at SA Health, based in Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

About the Role

This is a critical role that involves ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and compliance of biomedical technology used in patient care across SA Health facilities. As a Senior Biomedical Engineer, you will play a key part in delivering specialised biomedical engineering services, providing high-level support to the Technical Manager, and overseeing the management of human and physical resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on complex biomedical systems
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment
  • Contributing to research and technological advancements
  • Mentoring junior staff

In addition to your technical expertise, you may specialise in specific technologies or operate across a range of complex biomedical systems. Your ability to work independently or in a team, with problem-solving and time management skills, is essential for success in this role.

About You

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a technical discipline, strong communication skills, and proven experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting complex medical equipment.
